Access control using RFID technology can simultaneously meet the purpose of recording the number of visitors and security prevention and control, and has the unparalleled advantages of electronic magnetic cards.
 

The difficulty in managing items is that they cannot be marked like people, because objects have no biometric characteristics and cannot be identified, and it is difficult to integrate electronic magnetic cards and items into one. The original idea was to do manual registration, but when encountering problems with a large number of items and frequent access, manual registration often resulted in errors. The emergence of barcodes has solved the problem of errors caused by manual registration. Small barcodes can store a small amount of data, which can be identified by scanning the code gun, and the background system will bind or unblock the status accordingly. However, barcodes will encounter very embarrassing situations. In fact, there is no need to use barcodes to manage items with a small number and category, and only manual registration is required. Barcodes cannot handle many and complex items, and the data stored in barcodes is limited. It cannot be rewritten for a long time or multiple times, and the barcode is attached to the surface of the item, which can easily cause damage during the circulation of the item. It was not until the emergence of RFID that the management of items took a qualitative leap.
 

The simplest RFID system is composed of electronic tags, reader-writer middleware and system management software. Through radio frequency identification, the content on the electronic tag is read and written, and the data is transmitted to the management background in real time. Through decoding, it is combined with the system settings. The parameter conditions correspond and data is sent back, allowing the reader to respond accordingly. You only need to affix electronic tags to items and set up access control with readers and antennas at the entrance and exit to achieve effective management of items. We call this entire system RFID smart access control. The main components of smart access control are composed of readers and antennas, which have data transmission functions. When an item with an electronic tag approaches the access control, the access control's antenna will emit electromagnetic waves to activate the antenna in the electronic tag on the item, and the two are connected. Then the information starts to be transmitted, and is decoded by the reader and sent to the backend management system. After receiving the information, the backend management system quickly identifies the information, and then encrypts the processing results and sends them to the reader, and the reader responds accordingly. , the channel type will generally respond with audible and visual alarm prompts, while the closed type will not open the door.
 

RFID smart access control has been widely used in library management, parking lot management, unmanned retail and other fields. It also has functions such as managing items and recording people's movements. There are also some application scenarios that will be used in combination with electronic cards, and set up channel-type and closed-type verification methods at the same time to ensure the foolproofness of personnel identity and item management.
